NRS Chinook Fishing PFD

The NRS Chinook is one of the most popular NRS fishing life jackets, with a design that is constantly improved based on real anglers’ feedback. Updated pockets, a high-back profile and a comfortable front entry let you focus on fishing, not on discomfort. Certified to CE EN ISO 12402-5 (50N class, actual buoyancy 70N).

Pockets made for anglers

Two roomy cargo-style pockets at the front hold fishing boxes and give quick access to lures. The right side has an extra pocket with an easy-open closure, and a separate tool pocket with a Velcro closure keeps pliers and other small tools secure. An internal organizer in every pocket keeps things tidy during a long day of fishing.

High-back profile and PlushFit foam

The Chinook back panel is shortened and made for sitting in a kayak or canoe seat. You do not have to keep pushing the vest up when you lean back. PlushFit foam is softer than standard foam and follows your body shape, so you barely notice the vest after several hours on the water. The mesh lower back section keeps air moving on hot days.

Adjustment and extra features

The 6-point adjustment system (4 side and 2 shoulder) lets you fit the vest precisely to any build. The front zipper makes it easy to put on and take off. The vest also has a rod holder, a strobe light attachment point, reflective elements and a knife lanyard loop.

Who the Chinook is for

The NRS Chinook is a versatile fishing vest for kayak, canoe and SUP anglers. Thanks to the shortened back profile it works well with high seats. If you want a vest that does not get in the way when casting, reeling in and handling gear, the Chinook is one of the best choices on the market.
