NRS Vertex throw rope for a packraft is a floating throw rope with a bag, made for use with the NRS Vertex Pro Backband and in water safety situations. This NRS packraft accessory helps you keep a 21.3 m rope neatly stowed and pull it out faster when needed. Before buying, check compatibility with your packraft and its attachment points, as different models may come with a different base setup.

"NRSCompatible with the Vertex Pro Backband
A lightweight bag with a funnel-shaped opening is made to integrate into the NRS Vertex Pro Backband. You can carry the rope more conveniently on the packraft or on your body, but it is sold as a separate accessory.

Floating rope with a Spectra core

The rope has a polypropylene sheath and a high-strength Spectra core. The polypropylene helps the rope stay on the surface and be more visible. The manufacturer states that knots reduce the rope's strength, so the load in a specific rescue system must be assessed responsibly.

"NRSNeat deployment
The bag's shape helps you pay the rope out and repack it faster. Even so, safety gear should only be used with the right skills, and before every paddle you should check the rope, the bag and the attachment.

Who is it for?

This accessory is for experienced packraft users who know how to use a throw rope and have a compatible Vertex Pro Backband. It is sold separately, so it shouldn't be treated as part of the packraft's base kit unless the manufacturer of your specific model says otherwise. Before fitting or using it, read the manufacturer's instructions and check that the part is undamaged.

    Use and care

Keep the rope clean, free of knots and fully dry. If you notice a damaged sheath, worn stitching or a deformed buckle, don't use the accessory until it has been assessed or replaced. After use we recommend rinsing it with fresh water, drying it fully and storing it in a dry place. Regular inspection helps you spot wear, damaged attachments or built-up dirt in time.

A throw rope is a specialized safety accessory, so its use should be matched with proper training and a route risk assessment.
