Construction and details

"NRS

Shoulder closure
The suit closes at the shoulders with hook and loop combined with snaps. It is easy to dress a child, and once fastened the suit stays securely in place. This cut has fewer stress points, so it lasts longer.

Buoyancy with a life jacket
Closed-cell neoprene has a little buoyancy of its own. Together with a life jacket, the child stays higher in the water. The suit does not replace the life jacket, it only adds to it.

ToughTex seat and knees
The seat and knees are covered with tough ToughTex material and double-stitched. Children sit and kneel a lot, so these areas are reinforced.

Shoulder extensions for growing children
NRS offers Shoulder Extensions, sold separately. They lengthen the suit as the child grows.

Materials and specifications

Neoprene and titanium glue
The neoprene is bonded to the fabric with an adhesive containing tiny titanium particles. They reflect body heat back, similar to thermal film, making the suit warmer. The seams are Mauser stitched and taped, so they can withstand heavy use.

Who is the NRS Farmer Bill Youth wetsuit for?

✓ Children who paddle or go rafting in cool water

✓ Paddling outfitters and clubs that run youth programmes

✓ Families who head out on the water on cooler days too

✓ Together with a children's life jacket

Children get cold in the water faster than adults, so a warm suit lets them enjoy the trip for longer. A child in the water always needs a life jacket as well.
