NRS HydroSkin 1.5 Jacket, Women's is a warm, flexible neoprene jacket for women. It is ideal when the evening cools down on the water, and when you paddle in cold water in spring or autumn and might end up taking a swim. The full-length front zip lets you adapt quickly to the weather.

Key benefits of the NRS HydroSkin 1.5 women's jacket

✓ 1.5 mm Terraprene neoprene – the most warmth and versatility in the HydroSkin range

✓ Titanium adhesive – reflects body heat back, like a thermal film

✓ Stretchy nylon and spandex fabric – absorbs less water and doesn't restrict movement

✓ Smooth, soft inner face – comfortable to wear right against the skin

✓ Full-length front YKK zip – easy to put on and to vent

✓ Flat seams – don't chafe your shoulders and armpits while paddling

✓ Women's paddler's cut – fits close to the body and doesn't restrict your paddling movement

Construction and details

Full-length front zip
The jacket closes with a durable YKK zip. Wet neoprene is easier to put on and take off when it opens all the way. In the evening, zip it up to the neck, and during the day you can open it to cool down.

"NRS

Shoulders and sleeves
The jacket is cut for paddlers. The shoulder and sleeve panels are joined with flat seams that don't restrict movement or chafe the skin. Colourful shoulder panels show on the back.

Close fit
The jacket fits close to the body, so less water gets underneath. Your body quickly warms that small amount of water, and the neoprene holds the heat.

Materials and specifications

Terraprene neoprene with titanium adhesive
The base is 1.5 mm Terraprene neoprene. The outer fabric is bonded with a water-based adhesive containing titanium particles. The titanium reflects body heat back, so the jacket keeps you warmer than neoprene alone. On the outside is 6 oz nylon and spandex fabric that stretches well and absorbs less water.

How to choose the size of the NRS HydroSkin 1.5 women's jacket

The NRS size chart shows body measurements, not garment measurements. Measure your chest, waist, hips and sleeve length, then compare them with the chart. The jacket should fit close to your body: that way less water gets underneath and it keeps you warmer. The model in the manufacturer's photos is 165 cm tall and wears size M.

Who is the NRS HydroSkin 1.5 women's jacket for?

✓ Kayakers in the cooler season

✓ SUP paddlers who want to stay warm if they fall in

✓ Evening paddles when the air cools suddenly

✓ Spring and autumn trips when the water is still or already cold

The HydroSkin 1.5 is not a dry garment. Water gets under the neoprene, but your body warms it and the neoprene holds the heat. For very cold water and long immersion, choose a dry suit.

The NRS HydroSkin 1.5 is the warmest women's jacket in the HydroSkin range. VAKA Sport is the official NRS distributor in the Baltic states, and this jacket comes with a 24-month warranty.
