Cyclone Pedal Drive
The Cyclone Pedal Drive is the Galaxy Kayaks pedal drive that lets you move forward and in reverse without using your hands. The system slots into and out of the kayak in seconds. Your hands stay free for rods, a fish finder or other tools. The pedal mechanism reduces kayak vibration because you do not need to paddle actively, which improves balance and comfort while fishing.

Seat and cockpit
A high ergonomic seat with an adjustable backrest supports your back during longer fishing sessions. The Galaxy Kayaks logo on the backrest confirms the original setup. The rudder control lever is reachable with one hand straight from the seat, letting you change direction without letting go of the rod. The cockpit is designed so that all controls are easy to reach while seated.

Front hatch and storage
A roomy front hatch with a sealed lid gives a safe place for gear you do not need to reach constantly: spare items, clothing or food. The sealed design keeps items safe from water even in waves. Next to the hatch you can see tracks that let you mount Railblaza StarPort bases and other accessories without drilling the kayak.

Rear tank well and bungee system
The rear cargo area with elastic bungee cords gives quick access to frequently used items and secure fastening in waves. Tracks on both sides let you add a fish finder, cameras or other accessories. The safety line adds an extra level of security on the water.

Why do load zones matter?

The maximum load under the CE certificate is 194 kg (Max Performance Total Weight), and the absolute maximum is 256 kg (Max Carry Weight). Optimal performance is reached at a load of 115 to 165 kg (user plus gear).

IMPORTANT: The base kayak weight with the Cyclone Drive system is 45.55 kg (gross). Load calculation:

194 kg (Max Performance) – 45.55 kg (kayak) = 148.45 kg left for the paddler and gear.

Green zone (115 to 165 kg total load): Kayak 45.55 kg + user 80 kg + gear 30 kg = 155.55 kg: the ideal balance, best stability, optimal pedal performance.

Blue zone (below 115 kg total load): Kayak 45.55 kg + user 60 kg + gear 10 kg = 115.55 kg: the minimum weight for optimal stability, the kayak may be less stable in waves.

Red zone (165 to 194 kg total load): Kayak 45.55 kg + user 110 kg + gear 35 kg = 190.55 kg: safe per CE, but maneuverability and pedal efficiency drop.

Recommended maximum paddler weight: up to 110 kg.

CE category D: The kayak is certified for paddling in winds up to Beaufort 4 and waves up to 0.3 m.
