Two-seat system

Two independent seats with adjustable backrests let each paddler find a comfortable position. The front and rear seats are spaced at an optimal distance, so you can paddle comfortably without getting in each other's way. Three moulded footrests for each paddler let you adjust your leg position to your height.

Cargo space and bungee system

The front and rear bungee cords give enough room for two people's things: picnic items, water bottles, a camera or fishing gear. The central area between the seats is also good for small items.

"Galaxy

Stability and hull design

The 85 cm wide hull, the widest in the Galaxy Reef series, gives high stability even with two paddlers. The 352 cm length gives good tracking on more open water while keeping dimensions compact enough for transport on a car roof.

What does the 220 kg capacity mean?

220 kg is the total permitted load: both paddlers together with all gear. The manufacturer does not publish a separate recommended range.

✓ Two 75 kg paddlers + life jackets, paddles and water bottles (about 10 kg): 160 kg

✓ An 85 kg adult and a 30 kg child + picnic bag (about 10 kg): 125 kg

✓ Two 90 kg paddlers + fishing gear (about 25 kg): 205 kg

As you get close to 220 kg the kayak sits deeper, accelerates more slowly and reacts more to waves. For longer trips with gear it is more comfortable to keep the total weight with some margin.

Who is the Galaxy Reef Tandem kayak for?

The Galaxy Reef Tandem kayak is ideal for families and couples who want to paddle together in one kayak. We recommend it if you:

✓ Want to paddle as a pair: with a partner, friend or child

✓ Are looking for a stable, roomy two-person kayak for leisure paddling

✓ Value a complete package with two seats and paddles

✓ Plan day trips on lakes, rivers or coastal waters

If you would like a separate kayak for each paddler, see the single Galaxy Reef Adult or children's Galaxy Reef Junior.
