Hull design and stability
The Galaxy Cruz Ultra has a 292 cm long, 83.7 cm wide hull with a flat bottom and chined sides. This design gives excellent stability, even for stand-up fishing or handling gear. A sharp bow keel and V-shaped stern help it glide smoothly, reduce drag and reach higher speeds when paddling. Maximum load capacity is 130 kg, with optimal performance up to 110 kg including all gear.

Foot-controlled rudder
The rudder is one of the Cruz Ultra's key features. Instead of steering with your hands, you use foot pedals to control the rudder. That means you can hold the rod with both hands, paddle and steer at the same time, or use a fish finder or GPS on the move. It's especially useful at your fishing spot when you need to hold position in the wind.

High seat and comfort
The Cruz Ultra comes with a high, height-adjustable seat that gives you a better view for fishing and more comfort on long trips. The higher seating position makes it easier to spot fish movement, and the padded base and backrest keep you comfortable even after several hours on the water.

Storage and fishing gear
The new rectangular sealed centre console makes good use of space for tools, lures and small items. The front waterproof hatch opens towards the paddler, so you can reach electronics or documents without stopping. With 5 rod holders (4 fixed flush mounts and 1 swivel), Railblaza brass inserts and front tracks for accessories, the Cruz Ultra is fully ready for serious fishing.

Why do load zones matter?

The Galaxy Cruz Ultra's maximum load under CE certification is 130 kg, with an optimal range of 80–110 kg (paddler + gear). Base kayak weight: 31.5 kg.

Green zone (80-110 kg): The ideal balance of stability, speed and control. For example, an 85 kg paddler with 15 kg of gear (fish finder, rods, tackle box) = 100 kg: the kayak sits optimally and the rudder works most efficiently.

Blue zone (up to 80 kg): The kayak sits higher and less deep in the water. Stability is still good, but holding a course can be harder in the wind. For example, a 60 kg paddler with 10 kg of gear = 70 kg.

Red zone (110-130 kg): Safe under CE certification, but the kayak sits deeper and loses some speed and manoeuvrability. For example, a 100 kg paddler with 25 kg of gear = 125 kg: you can paddle, but comfort and handling are limited.

IMPORTANT: When planning your load, add the weight of all your fishing gear to your own weight (typically 10-20 kg). For optimal performance the total load should not exceed 110 kg.
