Construction and details

WindBlock membrane
The membrane is designed for low and very low temperatures. It reflects 80 % of body heat back inside, and only 20 %, excess heat during active movement, leaves through the membrane. Many membrane fabrics with a polyurethane coating harden in the cold and begin to rustle. WindBlock does not use polyurethane: the membrane is covered on both sides with dense polyester fluff. Therefore, the membrane does not harden in the cold, it wears out less from friction, and the fluff forms an additional warm layer of air.

Pockets
There are two pockets on the shoulders with hook-and-loop areas, two large pockets on the front, a service pocket on the left sleeve. There is a pocket with two zippers on the back for gloves and other small items.

Hood and bottom
The large hood is adjustable with an elastic cord. The bottom of the jacket also has an elastic adjustable cord.

Cuffs and elbows
The cuffs are adjustable with a hook-and-loop strap. There are nylon fabric reinforcements on the elbows, so the jacket resists abrasion for longer.
