Wilderness Systems TEMPEST 165: a sea kayak for experienced paddlers

The TEMPEST 165 is a serious sea kayak: 503 cm long, 55 cm wide and only 25 kg. It is among the lighter polyethylene sea kayaks. The narrow profile and hard chine hull shape give high speed and a precise response to paddling technique. It is a kayak for paddlers who already know how to paddle and want to refine their technique.

The TEMPEST differs fundamentally from the TSUNAMI: it is not a touring kayak with a sea label. It is a true sea kayak with a smaller cockpit, a lower deck line and a more aggressive hull profile. The smaller cockpit means better protection from water and a closer connection to the kayak through your legs and hips.
