NuCanoe QuickConnect EPS foot steering system — full motor control from the seat
NuCanoe QuickConnect EPS foot steering system #1724 is an all in one solution for controlling an electric motor NuCanoe U10 on a kayak. The system combines foot steering, throttle control and motor lift in one integrated kit. Installation takes a few minutes with no drilling or bolts: the QuickConnect mount clamps onto NuCanoe aluminium tracks so the system can be added and removed quickly.
Foot steering lets you control the kayak's heading with your feet, leaving your hands free for fishing. The steering pedal mounts on the deck in front of the seat and connects to the motor mount through a control cable (213 cm). The pedal gives precise position control even in strong current or wind.
The QuickConnect system attaches straight to NuCanoe aluminium tracks with no drilling at all. The motor with its mount can be added or removed in under a minute. The kick-up protection automatically lifts the motor when it hits the bottom or an obstacle, protecting the propeller from damage.
The system is compatible with Newport, Torqeedo and Bixpy electric motors. Throttle control is integrated into the Fusion Side Tray, the side shelf by the seat. With the HD Retract kit you can raise the whole motor assembly out of the water from the seat. Torqeedo UL motors additionally require a UL adapter.
