Design and stability

The VAKA Sport Modular Pro's 290 cm total length gives a great balance of stability and manoeuvrability. Once assembled, it works as a single solid hull you can rely on.

The modular design means you can split the kayak into two sections:

• Front section: 150 cm
• Rear section: 147 cm

Both sections fit in a standard saloon car boot with the rear seats folded down. No roof rack, trailer or pickup needed: just put both sections in the boot and go.

LLDPE (Linear Low-Density Polyethylene) with UV class 8 protection gives maximum resistance to sunlight. UV class 8 is one of the highest levels, so the kayak won't fade, crack or creak even after a year of heavy use in the sun.

31 kg total weight (14.5 kg front section + 16.5 kg rear section) means one person can easily carry each section separately, so you never have to lift the full 31 kg at once.

Pedal drive

The VAKA Sport Modular Pro uses a flap-type pedal system: the pedals drive flaps that push the water and move the kayak forward.

IMPORTANT: optimal is 60-80% of maximum load capacity = 138-184 kg (paddlers + gear)

Green zone (140-180 kg): Paddler + gear = 170 kg: ideal balance, best stability, optimal pedal efficiency

Blue zone (below 140 kg): One paddler 80 kg + gear 20 kg = 100 kg: too light, less stable in wind, pedals less efficient

Red zone (180-230 kg): Paddler + gear = 220 kg: borderline zone, safe but less manoeuvrable, lower pedal efficiency, sits deeper
