The Neris
The main river in Vilnius suits both kayaks and SUP boards. The most popular routes: from Verkiai to the Green Bridge (about 10 km, calm flow) and from Valakampiai to the center (5 km, good places to stop). Along the Neris you will find convenient spots to get in and out. In summer the current is weak, so it suits beginners too.
Vilkija (a tributary of the Neris)
The tributaries of the Neris and the smaller waters around Vilnius suit calm paddles. The Green Lakes area, 30 km from the center, offers calm paddling without the noise of motorboats.
The Trakai lakes
Just 30 km from Vilnius, the Galvė, Lukas and Totoriškės lakes are among the best water sports spots in Lithuania. Lake Galvė is great for SUP paddling with a view of Trakai Castle. The lakes are calm, with no strong current. Ideal conditions for families and beginners.
The Green Lakes
A system of six lakes in the Vilnius district. Calm surroundings and beautiful forests all around. Here you can paddle a SUP board or kayak without much traffic. Especially good for weekend paddles.
