1. Upinis korpusas (Hull-ability)

Hull-ability was a critical mission when designing the RVR119. Bonafide created a unique river hull with a Drop Skeg system: with the skeg down, the RVR119 cruises across flat water straight as an arrow. With the skeg up, the RVR119 becomes the definitive river fishing kayak. The skeg also gives you better control of drift in current or wind.

On moving water, paddlers will immediately feel how responsive and manoeuvrable the RVR119 is going up and down a river. The pronounced kick rocker at the bow gives quiet, efficient paddling against the current, one of the key stealth methods for finding fish, as fish usually face upstream waiting for food.

The stern is raised much like a drift boat, for better turning and handling waves. One of the favourite features is a flat area on the underside of the hull that lets you ride up onto rocks, half submerged trees or shallows. That lets you rest or hold the kayak in place for a few casts.

2. Mobilumas ir transportavimas

The RVR119 is designed with lots of features for getting on and off the water. Its 358 cm length is the optimal balance of mobility, weight, gear capacity and agility, and it works well on many types of water. In river fishing, mobility and transport matter a lot, whether you are moving between rapids, dragging over shallows or carrying through the forest to the launch.

At the bow there are three grab points: a Fat Grip handle, a Bow Strap and moulded grab areas under the nose. In the middle of the boat there are three more handles: one on each side and one behind the seat. At the stern there is another Fat Grip handle built into the RVR119's shape.

For extra mobility there are dual replaceable skid plates on the underside of the hull, which let you drag the kayak more steadily (your gear does not tip over) and more efficiently. The plates protect the hull and can be replaced when worn. The RVR119 is also compatible with the Bonafide Sidekick wheel system.

3. Total fishing functionality

The RVR119 is absolutely LOADED with features that give you a clear fishing advantage on the water. Let us start with the option to integrate a dual Anchor Wizard system. Anchor Wizard lets you drop and retrieve an anchor quickly. The RVR119 has two tubes running through the inside of the hull that keep the anchor lines inside and stop them snagging. A built in roller at the bow makes dropping and retrieving the anchor quiet and easy. At the stern there is a dedicated spot for a drag chain or an extra anchor ball. The dual anchoring system lets you face upstream or downstream.

Pilnai pakrautas priekis (Fully-Loaded Bow) At the bow there is a built in Boss Strap rod and paddle organiser. The Boss Strap notches make it easy to organise rod tips, and the strap sits high enough off the deck to slide a paddle under it for quick storage. Below the Boss Strap you will find an access plate to the inside of the hull for lighting, wiring and mounting. There is a matching plate at the stern too.

Triple Action Bow Strap A completely unique RVR119 feature is the new Triple Action Bow Strap system, unlike anything else in kayak fishing. The strap does three key jobs: 1) you can use it to drag the kayak, 2) you can quickly and easily tie dry bags and crates to it, 3) you can use it to organise rods and carry them to and from the water.

The deck slopes towards the scupper holes so water runs off it as quickly as possible, reducing the risk of water weight making the kayak unstable. The deck also has plenty of groove tracks for mounting gear and traction pads for comfortable standing.

Built to Compete The RVR119 has a dedicated slot for a 66 cm (26") Ketch measuring board that sits right in front of the paddler. The Ketch slots in the kayak are angled slightly downwards, so the fish's nose quickly slides to the end of the board. The slots also lift the board off the deck so your feet stay under it: comfortable and practical.

Dry valuables and room to grow (Dry Pod) The popular Bonafide Dry Pod module is built into the RVR119. The Dry Pod is removable and can hold a complete fish finder system: just mount the screen on top of the module, the battery inside and the transducer underneath, and you are ready to go. It also lets you remove the module for security when you leave the kayak on a trailer. If you have another Bonafide kayak with a Dry Pod and fish finder, it will fit here too.

Lankstumas ir komfortas (kojeliai) Built in SS aluminium foot braces can be locked or unlocked for the ideal position. If you decide to add a stern motor, simply use the Steering Kit accessory on the dual foot braces for foot controlled steering.

Ekstremalus lankstumas (borteliai ir galas) Strategically placed slots on the gunwales let you quickly mount a YakAttack RotoGrip or LockNLoad Track Base. The LockNLoad base opens up a wide choice of holders, making this area extremely customisable. Behind the rear tank well, on the gunwale, you will find four pad eyes (two on each side) as extra bungee attachment points for longer or overnight river trips. At the very back you will find slots for the RVR Stern Mounting Plate, a mounting plate for a stern electric motor.

Extreme comfort (the seat) The seat is hand sewn right at the Bonafide factory in North Carolina, USA, and is extremely comfortable. It slides 10 cm forwards or back, so you can set up the RVR119 for the paddler's size. There is plenty of storage under the seat, and channels in the kayak let rod butts rest during transport or when running rapids. To the right of the seat is the skeg control knob: turn it forwards and back to deploy or retract the skeg. Thanks to a built in spring, the skeg system retracts automatically when you ride up onto rocks or trees.

Rimtai, ekstremalus lankstumas (galinis denis) Directly behind the seat is a motor battery mounting area with many ways to secure it to the deck. On both sides of this storage area are groove tracks for accessories or the Bonafide Sidekick wheel system. The RVR119 rear deck is designed around the YakAttack BlackPak Pro system, and all sizes (33x33 cm, 33x41 cm and 41x41 cm) fit perfectly. A bungee with OmniHooks makes it easy to secure the BlackPak to the RVR119.
