Bonafide Wizard FCS foot controlled kayak steering system

Steer with your feet, keep your hands for the rod

Bonafide Wizard FCS is a foot controlled kayak steering system that Bonafide developed with Romel Labrador, known as The Wizard. The idea is simple: while your feet steer, your hands stay on the rod. The system works with both a mechanical rudder and an electric motor.

How it differs from standard systems

The controls move on bearings rather than sliding on plastic or metal. You feel the difference straight away: the movement is smooth with no jerking, so you can correct your heading by millimetres instead of pushing the pedal all the way. Over a long day that means less tired legs and more precise positioning into the wind.

Foot spacing and control position are adjustable, so the system can be set to suit your height and usual seating position. When you do not need the controls, they lock in place and stay out of the way. Mounting matches standard foot brace slots, so the system fits most kayaks, not just Bonafide.
