Tegris composite and EVA ergonomics

The main innovation of this model is the Tegris thermoplastic composite built into the shoulder straps, reinforced with a layer of EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) foam. Tegris is a light but very strong composite material, widely used in military and aviation applications. The EVA foam gives comfort and shock absorption. This two material combination lets the straps spread weight better across the shoulder area and reduce pressure points, even when carrying a heavier load for longer.

X-Large panel system

The backpack dimensions meet the X-Large standard: back panel 46x28 cm, front panel 43x27 cm, bottom 15 cm, top 12 cm, sides 13 cm each. Compared with the standard Sturm (43x26x11 cm), that is noticeably more capacity. Despite the larger size and the extra ergonomic features, the backpack weighs only 900 g.

Construction and materials

The body is made of Cordura 500D on the main panels, Cordura 1000D in the reinforced zones and Squadron fabric in the contact areas. YKK and WJ zippers give dependable operation. All seams and attachment points are reinforced for the higher load created by the larger volume of the backpack.
