The NRS Kayak Tow Line is an essential safety item for touring paddling. The towing system lets you tow a tired paddler, or someone beside a capsized kayak, to a safe place before they try to get out of the water.
At the centre of the system is a 15.24 m floating yellow polypropylene rope, attached through an NRS Sliq Straight Gate carabiner (included) to a quick release belt. A foam float by the carabiner keeps it in a visible place even if the rope falls into the water.
A 61 cm rubber shock absorber with stainless steel rings connects the carabiner and the rope. The absorber soaks up sudden jerks, reducing the load on both paddlers during a tow.
The bag is made from 500 denier Cordura® fabric with two extra small pockets, a mesh bottom for drainage and a reflective strip for visibility. The belt adjusts to a waist of up to 127 cm. Weight: 612 g.
Rope: 15.24 m × 5 mm polypropylene, breaking strength 296 kgf (2.9 kN).
