M-TAC Cuirass Tiger Elite plate carrier

The Cuirass Tiger Elite is a new generation M-TAC plate carrier. It is designed for standard ESAPI (US) Large format plates measuring 33.7 x 26 cm with cut top corners. The body is sewn from Cordura 500D fabric, which resists abrasion and heavy loads.

Dvidalis cummerbund

The key feature of this model is the two part side band. The lower part comes with an ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) panel tested to the STANAG 2920 method: a V50 fragment stopping speed of about 614.5 m/s. The upper part is made from a combination of Tegris thermoplastic composite and Cordura 500D, with cut slots forming a MOLLE panel for attaching extra gear.

The bands fasten with Duraflex quick release buckles (National Molding, USA). The buckle locks when you push the loop into the socket at the front of the carrier until it clicks, and releases with a sharp pull up or down. The principle is the same on both sides.

• At the front, a velcro panel with laser cut slots for MOLLE gear and ID patches

• At the top, a small admin pocket with a water resistant AquaGuard zip for documents, keys or other flat items

• At the back, a classic MOLLE interface

• A drag handle, held in the carry position by velcro straps against the back panel

Magazine module

At the lower front there is a quick release module with 3 integrated magazine pouches. To stop it accidentally coming away from the velcro base, it is also secured to the carrier bands with Woojin carabiners. The top of the module has perforated raised sections (2 for each pouch) that let you reposition the elastic loops for easier carrying. The sides have elastic loops for chemical light sticks, markers and similar items.

Modular system

The carrier can be used in its standard configuration or expanded with M-TAC modules: neck protection, shoulder pads, abdomen and waist modules, a groin protector and a separate TIGER cummerbund. In this way individual elements build into a modular system tailored to the specific user's needs.
