Wilderness Systems A.T.A.K. 120, a premium fishing kayak for maximum functionality
The A.T.A.K. 120 (All Terrain Angler's Kayak) is Wilderness Systems' top-level sit-on-top fishing kayak, built for serious anglers for whom standard solutions are not enough. The extended GearTrac Pro accessory system, the higher-profile APEX seat and a very stable platform for stand-up fishing make it one of the most functional fishing kayaks on the market. The 366 cm hull combines manoeuvrability with good tracking, and the platform lets you fish in any position.
Key features
✓ APEX adjustable seatthe higher-profile fishing seat gives better visibility around the kayak, an optimal casting position and improved back support. Adjustable height, angle and seat firmness.
✓ GearTrac Pro systemthe extended GearTrac track network covers the front deck, the sides and the rear. This lets you mount more accessories than on any other WS kayak: fish finders, rod holders, camera mounts, GPS, lights.
✓ Stable stand-up platformthe wide profile (78 cm) and specially shaped deck design let you stand up and cast, change position or even move around the kayak while standing. Small waves and wind won't make you unstable.
✓ Three waterproof storage compartmentsin addition to the standard front and rear storage, the A.T.A.K. 120 has a central storage area for bait and small accessories, reachable while seated without stopping fishing.
✓ Integrated mounting pointlets you fit a motor mount system for an electric motor on longer trips.
GearTrac Pro, an accessory system without limits
Standard GearTrac has tracks in two places. The A.T.A.K. 120 GearTrac Pro covers the whole kayak: the front, the left and right sides and the rear. This means you can build your own personalised fishing station: three fish finders at different angles, five rod holders, GPS on the left, camera on the right. The system is compatible with all standard GearTrac, YakAttack and Railblaza accessories.
Weight and load zones
Maximum load capacity: 170 kg. Optimal performance at a load of 90–135 kg. Kayak weight about 30 kg.
Green zone (90–135 kg): 85 kg + 40 kg of gear = 125 kg: excellent stability for stand-up fishing and moving around.
Blue zone (below 90 kg): the kayak sits too high and is affected by wind. Stability is still good, just keep it in mind.
Red zone (over 135 kg): stability and manoeuvrability decrease. The A.T.A.K. 140 may be a better choice.
APEX seat, the fishing kayak standard
The APEX seat is a level above the standard Phase 3 AirPro. The higher profile means you sit above deck level: better visibility, a more natural casting posture and a more comfortable position for long fishing sessions. The seat adjusts in three ways: height, backrest angle and seat position.
Who the A.T.A.K. 120 is for
An experienced angler for whom a standard fishing kayak isn't enough. A paddler who wants maximum GearTrac accessory compatibility and space for accessories. An angler who regularly fishes open water with waves, where a stand-up platform matters. A paddler with a 90–135 kg load (person + all fishing gear) who wants a premium seat and space for gear.
