Railblaza TracWedge StarPort: accessories on an aluminium boat with no drilling

Railblaza TracWedge StarPort is a StarPort base that wedges into the gunwale channel found on many aluminium boats. No drilling of the hull is needed: tighten the base with a screwdriver, and loosen and move it elsewhere when needed. All Railblaza accessories fit into it: rod holders, fish finders, navigation lights, cup holders or a bait table.

Design and use

Base facing up
The StarPort base faces up, so the accessory stands upright on the gunwale. This suits a navigation light, rod holders and cup holders.

Navigation light
The Railblaza navigation light fits into the TracWedge StarPort and is taken out during the day. No holes need to be drilled for the light or the wires.

Bait table and other accessories
A bait table with adjustable extenders can also be attached to the TracWedge StarPort. All accessories can be swapped in a few seconds.

Before buying, check that your boat has a channel in the gunwale. The TracWedge is made for Quintrex, Stacer, Savage, Stessl, Stessco and Sea Jay open boats, but it also suits others with a similar channel.

The Railblaza system

Railblaza accessories are designed and made in New Zealand. The whole system is built around a single StarPort connection standard: you fit the base once and swap accessories to suit what you are doing that day. The same base takes a rod holder, fish finder, camera, cup holder or flag, so there are fewer holes in your kayak or boat and fewer unneeded mounts.

Care

After fishing in saltwater, rinse the accessory with fresh water and let it dry. Check the moving parts from time to time for trapped sand. If the accessory is not used for a long time, store it in the shade.
