YakAttack Omega Pro rod holder
€ 50,00
The YakAttack Omega Pro is an Omega holder with an extension elbow. It lifts the reel higher above the water and leaves room for a longer rod butt. Everything else is the same as the basic Omega version.
✔ Extension elbow, the reel sits further from the water and the rod has room
✔ Fits all rod types, reel shape does not matter
✔ The collar rotates 360 degrees, a spinning reel hangs down, not sideways
✔ Three modes: locked, adjust and remove, switched with one lever
✔ LockNLoad mount included, will not twist in waves
YakAttack Omega Pro rod holder is a single-rod holder with an extension elbow and a LockNLoad track connector included. It differs from the basic Omega in that the holder can be pulled away from the gunwale and raised higher, so the reel doesn't rest on the deck and the rod stays free.

Key features
- Extension elbow - the holder lifts and pulls away from the gunwale
- Fits all types of reels - spinning, baitcasting, conventional, fly
- The clamp rotates 360 degrees
- Three operating modes - locked, adjustment, removal
- LockNLoad connector included
- Fits MightyMount, GearTrac, Scotty, RAM Mounts and YakGear tracks
- Made in the USA with the Built for Life warranty
How the Omega Pro works

Extension elbow
The elbow between the track connector and the holder lets you raise the rod higher above the deck and pull it away from the gunwale. This matters on kayaks where the track is low: without the elbow a large reel rests against the deck, and with it the rod hangs free and doesn't get scratched.

The handle is held at two points
The prongs wrap the handle in front of the reel and behind it, so the rod stays held even when the kayak tilts. The shape suits all types of reels, from a slim spinning reel to a large fly reel, so you don't have to choose a holder by reel type.

Three modes and LockNLoad
The knob switches between three positions: locked holds the angle while travelling, free lets you quickly turn the rod, and the third lets you take the holder off the track without tools. The LockNLoad connector in the kit locks with teeth, so it doesn't turn under a sudden strike.

When to choose the Pro version?
The Pro version makes sense when the kayak track is low or you use large reels that rest against the deck in a simple holder. It's also more comfortable for stand-up fishing: the raised rod can be reached without bending down.
Mounting and care
Like the basic Omega, the Pro version attaches to the track with the LockNLoad connector in the kit. Because of the extension elbow the holder takes up more space, so before mounting it's worth checking that the turned holder doesn't catch on the seat or hatch lid.
After fishing in salt water, rinse with fresh water so salt does not build up in the moving parts.
If you don't need the elbow, the same design without it is sold as the basic Omega holder. For several rods at once there are the SideStage side holders, and the same LockNLoad principle is used by the LockNLoad fish finder screen mount.
