YakAttack BoomStick Pro camera mount (131 cm)

YakAttack BoomStick Pro is a 131 cm tall kayak camera mount. It is the tallest option in the PanFish series, with the same aluminium build, LockNLoad base and YakAttack camera ball. From this height the frame takes in the whole kayak with the paddler and part of the surroundings, so the footage looks like it was shot from a boat alongside.

Camera ball with 1/4-20 thread
A YakAttack camera ball with a standard 1/4-20 thread sits on top. The ball joint lets you tilt the camera down, which matters at this height: the shot points at the deck, not the horizon.

GoPro adapter included
Both a 1/4-20 ball and a GoPro style adapter are included and swap without tools. At 131 cm an action camera is the usual choice, but the mount holds a compact camera just as well.

Camera mount
The aluminium pole is stiff along its whole length. The manufacturer states the mount floats, so if it goes overboard it stays on the surface.

Use in a kayak
Mounts on YakAttack MightyMount, GearTrac and most factory tracks. FeelFree, 3 Water and Jonny Boats kayaks need the AAP-1012 adapter. When paddling into the wind it is worth removing the camera, as the long pole increases wobble.
