YakAttack GridLoc MightyMount XL track

YakAttack GridLoc MightyMount XL is a kayak track designed around the GridLoc mounting grid on the BlackPak Pro crate. It replaced the earlier MightyMount XL: the overall lengths stayed the same, but the hole layout is new. Unlike the standard MightyMount it works like GearTrac: you slide an accessory in from either end and move it freely along the track instead of bolting it to one point.

A slot, not a single hole
A T-shaped slot runs the whole length, and the accessory bolt slides into it. This is the main difference from the old MightyMount, where the accessory was screwed down at one fixed point. Here you can nudge the mount a few centimetres until you find a comfortable position, and you can do it on the water.

LockNLoad compatible
The edges of the track have cut-outs for LockNLoad teeth, so these connect directly: LockNLoad rail base and the mounts that go with it. It also keeps the security of the original MightyMount: one turn of the bolt loosens the position adjustment, while a few extra turns are needed to remove the accessory completely. The accessory will not slide off on its own.

Mounting on the BlackPak Pro
The hole grid matches the GridLoc platform on the BlackPak Pro walls and lid, so the track screws on with a Phillips screwdriver and no drilling. In practice the crate becomes a second field for tracks: rod holders go on it, while the kayak tracks stay free for the fish finder and phone.

Mounting on a kayak
On a rotomoulded or thermoformed kayak, the track is screwed down with the same self-tapping screws after drilling 3 mm pilot holes. Because the profile is low, it does not get in the way of paddling or snag on lines. Which length to choose: 15.4 cm for one mount, 23 cm for two or for one with room to slide, 30.6 cm for the 41 cm wall of the BlackPak Pro.

Who is the GridLoc MightyMount XL track for?

We recommend it if:

✓ Your kayak has no factory tracks and you have not yet settled where the accessories go

✓ You want a short track where a long one will not fit

The track is the base, and the mount is bought separately. If you are looking for a longer or sturdier option for a kayak deck, look at the GearTrac GT90 series, with lengths up to 40.6 cm.
