YakAttack HD LockNLoad track base for heavy kayak accessories

YakAttack HD LockNLoad track base is a reinforced base of the LockNLoad system for kayaks. It is meant for places where an accessory is under a heavy load: trolling for big fish, heavy rod or fish finder holders. Unlike the standard base, the HD version attaches to the track with two MightyBolt bolts, so the accessory holds more firmly.

How the HD LockNLoad base works

Two MightyBolt mounting points
The base has two MightyBolt bolts placed on either side of the central LockNLoad connector. Both seat in the track and are tightened by hand, so the load is spread over two points. Because of this the base needs a track at least 20 cm long.

LockNLoad connector
In the centre is the same LockNLoad connector as on other YakAttack bases. Any YakAttack accessory with a LockNLoad mount fits it, for example the Omega rod holder or LockNLoad fish finder screen mount. The accessory can be removed and put back on without taking off the base itself.

Deck mounting
If the kayak has no track, the two MightyBolt bolts can be removed and the base screwed directly to the deck. You can also use the holes left from old deck fittings and mount the base crosswise. The fastener kit is shown in the photo.

For heavy accessories and trolling
The base is made for heavy duty use: trolling for big fish and accessories that are constantly under the force of water and the rod. It fits YakAttack MightyMount and GearTrac tracks and most Scotty, RAM Mounts and YakGear systems. FeelFree, 3 Water and Jonny Boats kayaks need a separate YakAttack adapter.

How does the HD base differ from the standard one?

The standard Complete LockNLoad base is held in the track by one MightyBolt bolt and suits most accessories. The HD base has two bolts, so choose it for heavy accessories and trolling. If your track is shorter than 20 cm, the HD base will not fit, so choose the standard one.
