Railblaza Rod Tube: carrying a rod while you paddle

Railblaza Rod Tube is an open ended rod tube that fits into any Railblaza StarPort base on a kayak, boat or pontoon boat. The rod is held securely and does not tangle with others, while the reel stays lifted above waves and spray. The tube suits spinning, baitcasting and fly rods.

Design and use

On a kayak track
With a TracLoader or another track base you can place the tube anywhere on the kayak. The rod stands upright behind you and stays out of the way of your paddling.

On boat rails
With the Railblaza RailMount base the tube attaches to the rails of a boat or pontoon. This way rods are stowed while you travel between fishing spots.

Secure and tidy
The open bottom lets the rod sit deeper, so it stays firm even at speed. The tube does not rust and does not fade in the sun.

The mounting base (StarPort or other) is not included in the kit.

The Railblaza system

Railblaza accessories are designed and made in New Zealand. The whole system is built around a single StarPort connection standard: you fit the base once and swap accessories to suit what you are doing that day. The same base takes a rod holder, fish finder, camera, cup holder or flag, so there are fewer holes in your kayak or boat and fewer unneeded mounts.

Care

After fishing in saltwater, rinse the accessory with fresh water and let it dry. Check the moving parts from time to time for trapped sand. If the accessory is not used for a long time, store it in the shade.
