YakAttack SideStage Pro rod holder (pair)

YakAttack SideStage Pro Rod Rack with LockNLoad is a reinforced version of the side rod holder with a LockNLoad track connector and 16 fixed rotation positions. Like the basic SideStage, it holds up to three rods horizontally along the gunwale and is sold as a pair.

How it differs from the basic SideStage

LockNLoad instead of a sliding base
The LockNLoad connection locks with teeth, so the angle stays as you set it. You notice this exactly when the rod gets a sudden strike or the kayak bumps into the shore.

16 position adjustment
The 360 degree rotation is divided into 16 fixed positions. Each position locks, so you can turn the holder forward while paddling and back while fishing, returning to the same spot each time. It's adjusted by hand, without tools.

Three rods horizontally
Three spring clamps hold handles up to 3.2 cm in diameter. The horizontal position means the rods don't stick up over your head, so they don't interfere with casting or catch on tree branches near the shore.

Who is the Pro versija for?

The Pro version is for those who already have a YakAttack track system and want the holder not to shift from its set position. It also makes sense on pedal and motor kayaks, where travel speed is higher and the loads on the holder are correspondingly greater.

Mounting and care

The LockNLoad connector slots into the track and is tightened with a single bolt by hand. Once you've set the angle, it's worth remembering which of the sixteen positions suits you, so that after taking it off for transport the holder goes back to exactly the same place.

After salt water, rinse with fresh water, especially the toothed connector: accumulated salt stops the teeth engaging precisely and the lock becomes imprecise. Check the clamp springs once a season.

If you don't need the LockNLoad connector, there is a simpler and cheaper SideStage version with the same strip and clamps. It mounts on the same principle as the LockNLoad fish finder screen mount.
