Galaxy Kayaks paddle leash: your paddle always close by
The Galaxy Kayaks paddle leash clips to the paddle shaft at one end and to the kayak at the other, for example a D-ring. When a fish bites and you need to put the paddle down fast, just let go of it and don't worry about it drifting away.
Key features
✓ Elastingas: stretches from 43 cm to 1.5 m
✓ Clip clips onto the paddle quickly
✓ Attaches to the kayak D-rings
✓ Hardened rubber and plastic
✓ Light: 62 g
How to use
Put the clamp on the paddle shaft and clip the other end to a tie-down point on the kayak. The coil doesn't tangle or get in the way of paddling, and when needed you can let go of the paddle and it stays by the kayak.
Not for rods
You can also clip other light items you don't want to lose to the leash. For rods, the manufacturer recommends a leash with a Velcro strap or stronger fastening, as rod and reel need to be secured more firmly.
Care
After fishing at sea, rinse the accessory with fresh water and let it dry. When not in use for a long time, store it in the shade.
When a leash is essential
A leash is especially useful when fishing, taking photos or resting with the paddle on deck. In stronger wind or current a dropped paddle drifts away in seconds, and getting back to shore without one is hard. The leash makes sure your paddle always stays close.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use it with a SUP board?
Yes, if the board has a D-ring or other point to clip the leash to.
Is the leash suitable for a rod?
For rods, the manufacturer recommends a leash with a Velcro strap or stronger fastening.
