Design and use
Installation
The bracket is fitted to the shape of the kayak and screws onto the existing mounting points. All the required bolts and brackets are in the set, so no extra parts are needed.
Folding handle
The handle folds, so in shallows or when you reach shore you can lift the motor out of the water and protect the propeller. When transporting, the folded bracket takes up less space.
Care
After fishing at sea, rinse the accessory with fresh water and let it dry. Check the screws now and then and tighten them if needed. Store it in the shade when not in use for a long time.
What else you will need
The set contains only the motor bracket. The electric motor and battery are bought separately. Place the battery in the kayak as close to the center and as low as possible so the kayak stays stable, and secure the cables so they do not snag your legs.
Frequently asked questions
Does it fit other Galaxy kayaks?
This bracket is made for the Wildcat and Ranger. Other Galaxy models have separate brackets, for example the one made for the Strike and Ranger.
Is a motor included?
No, the set contains only the bracket with bolts and brackets.
