Construction and details

NRS Fuse glove shell and elastic cuff

Thin neoprene with titanium
The glove is made of 1mm neoprene. It has a titanium layer that reflects body heat back to the hand. This makes the Fuse gloves warmer than you would expect from such thin neoprene, while keeping your fingers flexible.

Grip with the paddle
The palm has a silicone pattern. It holds the paddle or paddle handle firmly, even when your hands are wet. You don't have to press harder, so your hand gets less tired.

Elastic cuff
The cuff fits snugly around the wrist but is stretchy. The glove is easy to put on and take off, even when wet.

Pairing clips
There are clips on the wrists that can be used to fasten both gloves together as a pair. This way they don't get lost in the boat, backpack or while drying off after a swim.

Materials and specifications

Seams and tightness
The seams are single-needle stitched with high-strength thread, but not taped. The Fuse is a warm glove for cool weather, not completely waterproof. NRS classifies it as a cool conditions glove.

How to choose your NRS Fuse glove size

The size of NRS gloves is selected based on the dimensions of the hand. Measure the width across the palm at its widest point, below the fingers, do not count the thumb. Measure the length from the bottom of the palm at the wrist to the tip of the big finger. If the dimensions fall between two sizes, focus on the width: a neoprene glove that is too narrow will squeeze and tire the hand faster.

Who are NRS Fuse gloves suitable for?

✓ For kayakers and paddlers on cool spring and autumn days

✓ For SUP paddlers whose hands get cold from wind and spray

✓ For rafters who want to protect their palms from calluses

✓ For those who find thicker gloves too restrictive

How is the Fuse different from the NRS Catalyst? The Fuse is thinner, 1 mm, and is designed for cool weather, so you can feel the paddle better. The Catalyst is 2 mm thick, with taped seams, and is designed for cold water.

NRS Fuse are thin and lightweight neoprene gloves for the cool season. VAKA Sport is the official NRS representative in the Baltics, and these gloves come with a 24-month warranty.
