Construction and details

Full-length front zip
The suit closes with a durable YKK zip with a double slider. It is easy to put on and take off. There is a lock at the top, so the zip does not open by accident while paddling or swimming.

Sleeveless paddler cut
A long-leg, sleeveless suit. The armholes are wide, so your shoulders and arms move freely through a full day of paddling. When you need more warmth, pull a neoprene or paddling jacket on top. The photo shows the men's suit from the back.

Reinforced seat and knees
The seat and knees have a layer of 3 mm Eco SupraTex fabric. These are the areas that wear most when sitting in a boat, kneeling on a SUP board or climbing ashore, so the suit stays in good shape for longer.

2 mm stretch zones
Thinner, 2 mm, very stretchy neoprene panels are sewn in at the shoulders and behind the knees. Where the body bends most, the suit stretches more easily and restricts movement less.

Seams and edges
The seams are glued and blind-stitched. They lie flat against the skin and slow water flowing into the suit. The edges are bound with recycled NRS Rashguard fabric, which stretches well and does not chafe.

This generation of the Ultra John is made from 3 mm OCENA neoprene. NRS makes it from responsibly sourced natural rubber, recycled materials and more sustainable chemistry. The outer is a blend of recycled nylon and spandex. The Graphene inner fabric is graphite-based: it is soft, dries quickly and adds an extra warm layer. The neoprene and fabric are bonded with titanium glue. The previous generation of this model was made from Terraprene neoprene.

How to choose the size of the NRS Ultra John 3.0

The NRS size chart shows body measurements, not the measurements of the suit itself. Measure your height, chest, waist, hips and inseam, then compare them with the chart. A wetsuit should fit snugly against the body: then little water stays inside and it warms up faster. In the manufacturer's photos the model is 183 cm tall and wears size L.
