Construction and details

High waist and raised back
The waistband is high and very stretchy, like yoga leggings. There is more fabric at the back, so your back stays covered when you lean forward to paddle. The photo shows the back and the wide waistband.

NRS pants are cut by paddlers so they don't restrict your legs whether sitting in a boat or standing on a SUP board. The seams are flat and don't chafe, so the pants are comfortable to wear all day.

Close fit
The pants fit close to the legs. Little space is left for water between the skin and the neoprene, so your body warms it quickly and the warmth lasts longer. The pants can be combined with a HydroSkin shirt or jacket. This makes it easy to adapt your clothing to the air and water temperature.

Terraprene neoprene and titanium adhesive
The pants are made from 1.5 mm Terraprene neoprene. The outer fabric is bonded to the neoprene with glue containing fine titanium particles. They reflect the heat your body gives off back, much like a thermal film. NRS uses water-based glue. The outside is a 6 oz nylon and spandex fabric: it stretches well and absorbs less water, while the inside is smooth and soft.

How to choose the size of the NRS HydroSkin 1.5 Pants, Women's

The NRS size chart shows body measurements, not the measurements of the garment itself. Measure your waist, hips and inseam (from the crotch to the ankle along the inside of the leg), then compare them with the chart. The "US size" column shows the numeric US women's clothing size. The pants should fit close to the body: then less water gets under them and they keep you warmer. In the manufacturer's photos the model is 175 cm tall and wears size M.
