Railblaza Camera Boom 600 R-Lock: a camera mount for a kayak and boat
Railblaza Camera Boom 600 R-Lock is a long action camera mount that fits into any Railblaza StarPort base. The 75 cm reach lets you raise the camera above your head and film from above, over the shoulder or the whole deck as you land a fish. Four adjustable joints and 360 degree rotation let you find the angle you want in seconds.

Design and use
Filming from a kayak
With the mount fitted in a StarPort beside the seat, you can lift the camera above yourself and film the whole fishing process: the cast, the bite and landing the fish. The shot stays steady and your hands stay free for the rod.
R-Lock joints
Two R-Lock joints lock the position so the camera does not wobble or droop even when you paddle through waves. The other two joints adjust quickly when you change the angle between shots.
Light and durable
The mount is made of UV stabilised, glass reinforced plastic and weighs about 0.4 kg. It does not rust, does not fade in the sun and suits salt water. The top platform can be removed so the camera can be mounted another way.
Important: mount is made for action cameras. It is too long and too light for mirrorless cameras. The mounting base (StarPort or other) is not included in the kit.

The Railblaza system
Railblaza accessories are designed and made in New Zealand. The whole system is built around a single StarPort connection standard: you fit the base once and swap accessories to suit what you are doing that day. The same base takes a rod holder, fish finder, camera, cup holder or flag, so there are fewer holes in your kayak or boat and fewer unneeded mounts.
Care
After fishing in saltwater, rinse the accessory with fresh water and let it dry. Check the moving parts from time to time for trapped sand. If the accessory is not used for a long time, store it in the shade.
