YakAttack Clip-On Retractor tool holder is a holder with a retractable cord that clips to a vest, bag or kayak seat. You attach pliers, scissors, a line cutter or another tool to it: pull it out when you need it, let go, and the spring returns the tool. The spring cord returns the tool to its place
The tool pulls out as far as you need and returns to the holder by itself when released. A pull force of 170-280 g is enough to keep the pliers snug so they do not dangle or swing. The cord returns smoothly and does not tangle.

The double holder has two separate 46 cm nylon cords with carabiners. Attach pliers to one and scissors or a line cutter to the other. One tool is in use while the other stays in place.
