YakAttack TowNStow Bunkster kayak trolley (sand wheels)

YakAttack TowNStow Bunkster with sand wheels is a kayak cart for soft surfaces. It's the same Bunkster design, but instead of hard BeadLoc wheels it has 35.6 cm diameter inflatable balloon wheels that don't get stuck in sand and mud. The frame is built from anodised aluminium tube, UV resistant moulded polymer and stainless steel fasteners, so the cart is made for constant use in salt water.

Sand wheels instead of hard ones
The inflatable balloon wheels, 35.6 cm in diameter and 17.8 cm wide, spread the load over a large area, so they don't sink into sand. Maximum pressure is 3 psi, and the hubs are sealed so sand can't get into the bearings. The wheels lock onto the axle by themselves and come off when you press a button.

Bunk supports with rubber bumpers
Two fixed supports are laid out parallel to the kayak hull, so it rests not on a single point but along the whole hull line. Four rubber bumpers are fitted on them, which don't slip and don't scratch the plastic. Instead of ordinary foam pads, YakAttack uses press-fit rubber ones that don't crumble after a few seasons.

Tie-down point at the centre of the axle
In the middle of the axle there is a loop for a 25 mm wide strap with a buckle or for rope up to 8 mm in diameter. On the sand wheel version there are no loops in the wheel hubs, so the kayak is tied to the central point. Straps are not included.

Comes apart without tools
The wheels come off when you press the button behind the hub, and the supports slide off the axle when you lift the orange locking lever. Five pieces remain, which fit in the hatches of most kayaks. That means you don't have to leave the cart in the car or unattended on the shore.
