The JBAY Kame KX260 is an inflatable SUP board with an integrated kayak kit, for those who want one board for two purposes. Unlike the standard K260 model, the KX260 already includes a kayak seat and a special 2-in-1 paddle that converts from a SUP paddle to a double blade kayak paddle simply by swapping the handle for a second blade.

Two experiences on one board

The JBAY Kame KX260 SUP board is physically the same as the K260: 330 cm long, 76 cm wide, 15 cm thick, weighing 7.9 kg. But the real value is in what is included. The semi rigid kayak seat attaches to the board's D rings in a few minutes and lets you paddle seated, like in a kayak. The 2-in-1 paddle with a fibreglass shaft (165–210 cm) has a removable top handle, and swapping it for a second blade gives you a full double blade kayak paddle.

Ideal for beginners and families who do not yet know which they will like more: paddling standing on a SUP or sitting like in a kayak. Instead of two separate water sports items, you buy one versatile one. The KX260 suits calm lakes, river backwaters and the sea coast without strong waves.

Construction and technology

Like the K260, the KX260 is made of PVC laminated Drop-Stitch fabric with Single Layer technology and a TRT (Thermal Weld Rail) rail. The first layer of the rail is heat welded to the board body, and a second reinforcing layer is glued over it. This construction gives durability and resistance to UV and pressure changes. The 270 litre volume and 145 kg load capacity let paddlers weighing up to 100 kg paddle comfortably.

Main difference from the K260

The JBAY Kame KX260 SUP board differs from the standard K260 model only in what is included: the seat and double blade paddle let you use the board as a kayak straight away. If you know you will only paddle standing, the K260 will be enough. But if you want flexibility and two water sports experiences in one package, the KX260 is the smarter choice for a small extra cost.
