JBAY Kayak 425

JBAY Kayak 425: a two seater inflatable kayak with Full Drop-Stitch technology

The JBAY Kayak 425 is a two seater Full Drop-Stitch inflatable kayak designed for couples and families who want a sporty paddling experience. The 425 cm hull with 10 PSI high pressure construction weighs 16.2 kg and carries up to 205 kg in total, so two adults with gear will have plenty of room and comfort.

Full Drop-Stitch construction

The JBAY Kayak 425 uses Drop-Stitch technology throughout the hull, including the floor and side walls. At 10 PSI the whole structure becomes a monolithic block that does not flex or buckle even with two paddlers at full weight. Two PVC laminated layers with a network of polyester threads between them create a construction that matches a polyethylene or fibreglass hardshell kayak for stiffness and responsiveness.

Stability and handling

At 425 cm long and 78 cm wide, the JBAY Kayak 425 has excellent initial stability thanks to its flat floor. The raised bow with a narrow profile underneath cuts through the water efficiently and reduces drag. A removable centre Slide fin keeps it on course. 3 independent air chambers (one for the floor, two for the side tubes) with high pressure valves ensure safety and reliability. A quick drain valve makes the kayak easy to look after.

Who is the JBAY Kayak 425 for?

Ideal for couples, friends and families looking for a roomy, stable two seater inflatable kayak for trips. The JBAY Kayak 425 can also be used solo: the seat can be moved to the centre for a single paddler (note: the footrests are not used in solo mode). Great for lakes, the sea coast and calm rivers.
