JBAY Comet J3 SUP board set (350 cm)

The JBAY Comet J3 is the top inflatable SUP board in the JBAY range, made for experienced and intermediate paddlers who want maximum stiffness, speed and professional construction. At 350 cm long and 81 cm wide, the board with 2LF Fusion double layer technology and the RRT 2.0 rail gives a very firm feel while keeping the convenience of an inflatable board.

2LF Fusion double layer technology

The JBAY Comet J3 SUP board is made with 2LF Fusion (Double Layer Fusion) technology. Two laminated PVC Drop-Stitch layers are joined in a high pressure lamination process, forming a single double wall. The result is noticeably more stiffness and resistance to deformation than single layer models. That stiffness is felt most at higher speed and in waves, when the board does not fold and holds its line.

RRT 2.0 rail: triple reinforcement technology

The rail on the Comet line is made with RRT 2.0 (Reinforced Rail Technology), a three layer heat welding technology. Unlike the standard two layer TRT rail, RRT 2.0 adds a third reinforcing layer, creating an exceptionally strong and seamless joint between the deck and the bottom. This lets you inflate the board to 18–20 PSI (1.24–1.37 bar), well above standard 15 PSI models, without risk of damaging the rail.

How does the Comet J3 differ from the Delta D3?

Both models are 350 cm long and 81 cm wide, but the main difference is construction. The Delta D3 uses single layer SLR technology (9 kg, 15 PSI), while the Comet J3 uses double layer 2LF Fusion (12.6 kg, up to 20 PSI). The J3 is 3.6 kg heavier, but offers noticeably more stiffness, better handling at higher speed and a more durable construction. If you paddle often and want a more serious tool, the JBAY Comet J3 SUP board is the right choice.
