YakAttack Omega: a universal kayak rod holder

YakAttack Omega is a universal rod holder that mounts on the track of a kayak, boat or other craft. It fits spinning and casting rods, larger baitcasting reels and fly rods of any size. The holder comes with a LockNLoad track base, so it can be fitted to a track straight away. Made in the USA and covered by the YakAttack Built for Life warranty.

What is included and what you need separately

Included in the price:

• Omega rod holder with rotating collar
• LockNLoad track base with MightyBolt for track mounting

Not included in the price:

• A track on your kayak. If your kayak has no track, it must be bought and fitted separately, for example GearTrac GT90, GearTrac GTSL90 or GridLoc MightyMount XL.
• Rod and reel. They appear in the manufacturer's photos for illustration only.

Do you need extra accessories? If your kayak already has a YakAttack GearTrac, MightyMount or most Scotty, RAM Mounts or YakGear tracks, there is nothing else to buy. For FeelFree and 3 Waters kayaks and Jonny Boats, the manufacturer states an extra AAP-1012 adapter is needed. We do not currently sell it, so check what type of track your kayak has before buying.

Spinning reel hangs down
The rotating collar wraps around the reel and locks it. A spinning reel stays in its natural downward position instead of hanging sideways, so the rod sits steady and the reel does not swing into the side of the kayak.

Fits fly rods too
The same collar fits fly rods of all sizes, casting and baitcasting reels.

LockNLoad base and three modes
The base fixes to the track with one MightyBolt. In the locked position the holder does not move. Squeeze the lever and you can turn it in any direction. Flip the lever open and the holder slides off the base.

Track mounted
The holder fits anywhere on a kayak track. The track is not included. If your kayak has none, choose a GearTrac or MightyMount track depending on how much space you have.
